Angama Mara

Inspired by the Swahili name, ‘Angama’, which means ‘suspended in air, this amazing and exclusive tented safari camp is perched on a cliff top overlooking one of the world’s most famous game reserves - the Masai Mara. The property is owner-run and is renowned for its excellent service, international cuisine and impressive architecture of two separate camps, of fifteen tents each, all offering a refreshing mix of contemporary design and the classic tented safari experience, as well as spectacular 180 views of the plains below. 

After an exciting day of game drives in the park below, guests can make the most of Angama’s wide range of on-site facilities such as the infinity pool, fitness room, photographic studio and library or simply absorb the remarkable views from the main area’s expansive deck with a Gin & Tonic in hand.

Game drives are enjoyed in the Mara Triangle with Angama’s experienced guides, and the timings are tailored to your individual needs. Should you wish to spend a full day out on game drives, packed breakfasts and/or lunches can be catered for all dietary requirements.
