The Emakoko is a boutique hotel built into the slopes of the Mbagathi River valley, uniquely positioned on the edge of Nairobi National Park. Just 45 minutes from Kenya’s main international airport, this is a superb place to begin any wildlife safari and by staying here, you are directly supporting the conservation of the area and it’s endangered black rhino population.

For something different, head over to the David Sheldrick’s Wildlife Trust to meet Kenya’s orphaned elephants or kiss a giraffe at the nearby Giraffe Center!
