Governors Il Moran

Tucked away under riverine forest that hugs the banks of the Mara River, is Governors’ Il Moran Camp - perfect for those who want that extra bit of luxury within an intimate and authentic safari setting. 

There are just ten en-suite tents, all decorated to the highest of standards, with added touches such as Victorian baths and king-sized beds made from Olive trees, that place this camp with the Mara’s premier range of accommodation. Depending on the weather, you can eat out under the stars on the main deck, or in the dining room which offers a bird’s eye view of the snorting hippos and snapping crocodiles in the river below! The endearing interaction between the resident warthog and mongoose provide wonderful entertainment and a lifetime of treasured memories. The location could not be better; you really are in the heart of all the action here and the Marsh Pride of Lions, made famous through Animal Planet’s Big Cat Tales and BBC Earth’s Dynasties, are found within the nearby Musiara Marsh.
