Lake Manyara Tree Lodge

Located in the southern end of Lake Manyara National Park, in a remote area teeming with extraordinary wildlife such as the famous tree-climbing lions and seasonal flamingoes, is And Beyond’s Lake Manyara Tree Lodge. Getting here is a journey in itself, but one that comes massively rewarded with seclusion and privacy and ultimately, the opportunity to feel completely immersed in your natural surroundings.

Ten tree houses are elevated ten feet above the ground, tucked away beneath an ancient mahogany forest that attracts families of elephants passing through. The beautifully appointed suites are designed with minimal impact to the environment - crafted from local timber and makuti palm fronds, with private verandahs and seating areas to soak up the atmosphere. The stylish and contemporary main area is split between two levels; upstairs you will find a super living area with huge sofas and a good selection of coffee table books dotted around the place - downstairs is a large dining area with an open plan kitchen allowing you to watch as the chefs prepare delicious meals.

Of all the camps and lodges in the area, Lake Manyara Tree Lodge is the only one located inside the park. Head off on half or full day game drives with a packed meal and the best guides in the region. Bush walks, biking riding and cultural visits to a local community school and clinic can be arranged as well as a treetop canopy walk in Lake Manyara’s National Park.
