Loisaba Tented Camp

Perched on the edge of an escarpment with views stretching far across Laikipia’s rugged wilderness and all the way up to Mount Kenya, is Loisaba Tented Camp - designed with a unique twist of safari chic and European sophistication. 

 

So beautiful was the location of the previous property, Loisaba Lodge, that Loisaba Tented Camp was built on the original site. The new camp comprises twelve luxury, en-suite tented rooms which have all been custom built with high floor-to ceiling doors and windows - therefore the units are pleasantly airy, spacious and cool. Each room offers magnificent views from its private verandah; the perfect spot to sit back with your drink of choice and watching the changing colours of the sky. The main areas include large, open dining and sitting rooms as well as one of the best infinity pools in Africa!

 

This is the place to be if ‘off the beaten track’ is your kind of destination; the camp is located with the Loisaba Conservancy which is truly wild and home to many large herds of elephants, a healthy population of lions as well as some rarer species such as African wild dog. There are so many ways in which to explore the area including day and night game drives, guided bush walks, camel and horse riding, fishing, mountain biking, visits to the conservancy’s anti-poaching team as well as cultural visits to a local Samburu village.
