Sanctuary Ngorongoro Crater Camp

Located on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, one of the world’s most famous and unusual wildlife destinations, sits the Ngorongoro Crater Camp, boasting one of the most awe inspiring views across the whole conservation area. 

The ten safari tents are comfortable, crafted from classic canvas in muted safari colors, with dashes of deep red and other earthy tones. Nestled amongst beautiful acacia forest, each room offers large double beds, explorer style furniture and hand woven rugs, as well as ensuite bathrooms with piping hot traditional ‘bucket’ showers. The main area comprises a spacious lounge and dining tent, with a lovely little bar. Meals are generally served ‘family style’ with dishes being brought to the tables, but the staff are more than accommodating and should you wish to dine privately elsewhere, they will find the perfect spot for you.

As this camp is conveniently located close to the access road into the Ngorongoro Crater, most activities are focused on exploring the jaw-dropping beauty and exceptional wildlife of the crater floor. Morning and afternoon game drives take place both in the crater and along the rim. Authentic cultural experiences and walking safaris can also be arranged.
