Serengeti Migration Camp

Perfectly positioned along the banks of the Grumeti River, in Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park, is Elewana’s Serengeti Migration Camp - the ultimate safari experience. This is a classic tented camp with an excellent location, offering magnificent views across the river and the Serengeti’s open plains ahead. The surrounding area plays host to the annual movement of millions of wildebeest as they make their northbound journey into Kenya’s Masai Mara - the greatest wildlife show on earth!

There are 20 elevated, unusually spacious tents, which are well spaced for peace and privacy, with canvas roof tops and sides that blend into the natural environment. Private 360 degree verandahs off each room allow for constant game viewing as the wildlife passes by, while the interiors present a unique mix of high safari style and laid back comfort. The main tent offers a split level lounge area, a swimming pool, restaurant and viewing platforms that look out over the bustling river and the rugged wilderness. 

Apart from simply kicking back on your private verandah, watching the hippos wallowing away and listening to the wildlife in ‘surround sound’, there are a range of exciting activities available from this camp to help you experience the African bush. Game drives are a must of course - head off early for a champagne breakfast or enjoy a little lie-in and take a picnic lunch instead. Guided bush walks are a fantastic way to explore the diversity of the Serengeti and sundowner cocktails can be enjoyed from the camp’s secret sundown spots.
