Singita Kataza House

Shrouded by acres of indigenous forest that is refuge to the endangered mountain gorilla and by honouring sustainability as a fundamental design focus, Kataza House compliments its nearby sister property - Kwitonda House - which is another of Singita’s pledges to conscious travel.

This contemporary and beautifully located 4-bedroom private house was conceived and crafted in response to its unique position on the very edge of the Volcanoes National Park. The eco conscious use of striking local materials such as volcanic rock, hand-fired terracotta bricks and woven roof linings have been carefully sourced so as to remain in keeping with the surrounding landscape. Featuring two heated plunge pools, a private chef and dedicated host, families and groups can enjoy relaxed freedom and uninterrupted time together in a secluded sanctuary of their own. 

From Kataza House, treks through the forested volcanoes slopes two species - the majestic mountain gorillas and the Golden Monkeys - offer a rare and delightful wildlife experience not to be missed.
