Tarangire Treetops sits in the private Randilen Conservancy, on the edge of Tarangire National Park offering incredible views of Mount Kilimanjaro and Lake Manyara. The lodge makes for a very unique stay, elevated above the ground and incorporated into the surrounding marula and baobab trees. Friendly and personable staff gather at the entrance to welcome you on arrival - a host of smiles.

There 20 rooms, all positioned around the main lodge area - which itself encases a thousand-year-old baobab - are spacious, open fronted and looks onto Tarangire’s open plains. Each picturesque room boasts an ensuite bathroom with a double shower and a private balcony where guests can sit with a drink and watch the sun go down. The interior styling creates a sense of warmth while furnishings indicate a commitment to local craftsmanship.

The swimming pool looks onto a nearby waterhole where you can enjoy a little pool-side game viewing as animals casually wander over to drink while a traditional Masai boma offers an intimate, candlelit location echoing the sounds of Maasai chants and dance.

Adventures from Tarangire include day and night game drives (an excellent opportunity to head off in search of some of the area’s nocturnal game), guided bush walks and visits to a neighbouring Masai village. Bush meals and stunning sundowners can also be arranged on request.
