The Great Migration

The Great Migration, also known as the "Wildebeest Migration," has been listed as one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Africa and is arguably the greatest wildlife show on earth. More than 1.5 million wildebeest along with gazelle and zebra move towards greener pastures making it the most unique safari experience in Africa. As the animals face many obstacles and challenges on their voyage, you can watch the drama unfold right before you.

The Migration path is sometimes considered a circuit that occurs between Tanzania's Serengeti plains in the south and Kenya's Maasai Mara in the north between May and December each year. But orderly maps that predict their pathways can indeed fool you. The Migration is a natural process that depends on weather, environmental factors, and the animals themselves. The route, whilst well known is however just a road map, from the southern Serengeti through the Western Corridor up to the Maasai Mara then back to the start through the Loliondo and Lobo area.
