      Covid 19 - Uganda Entry Requirements

      Entry Requirements

      Whilst we look to update these pages regularly, please check both your local government and the Tanzanian government's guidelines for travel prior to departure.

       

      Before Arrival

      Vaccinated Travellers Aged 6 Years and Older

      All fully vaccinated travellers are exempt from presenting a negative COVID- 19 Real- Time Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction ( RT- PCR) test result on arrival
      All fully vaccinated travellers will be required to present a valid vaccination certificate upon arrival Online visa application via https:// visas. immigration. go. ug/

      Unvaccinated Travellers Aged 6 Years and Older

      Obtain a valid negative COVID- 19 Real- Time Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction ( RT- PCR) test certificate issued no more than 72 hours before boarding their flight to Uganda. COVID- 19 certificates must specify TRAVEL as the intended purpose of the test Online visa application via https:// visas. immigration. go. ug/

       

      On Arrival

      Vaccinated Travellers Aged 6 Years and Older
      • Temperature screening on arrival
      • Presentation of a valid Covid- 19 vaccination certificate Clear immigration and collect luggage
      • Met by a Cheli & Peacock Safaris representative and continue on safari

      Unvaccinated Travellers Aged 6 Years and Older

      • Temperature screening on arrival
      • Presentation of the Negative PCR Test result Clear immigration and collect luggage
      • Met by a Cheli & Peacock Safaris representative and continue on safari

      In Uganda

      • Hotels are operating as normal
      • Temperature screening in public places
      • Face masks are to be worn by all people at all times in public places
      • Social distancing of 1. 5m apart is required at all times in public places.

      Before Departure

      • Departing passengers whose airline or destination country requires a negative COVID- 19 test
      • certificate, require testing prior to departure. This can be facilitated by Government laboratories in cities and various safari destinations.
      • Passengers whose airline or destination country do not require a negative COVID- 19 test certificate are able to leave Uganda without testing.
