Advice regarding packing for safaris.
East Africa: What to Pack on SafariWe recommend comfortable, casual clothing in neutral colours ( khaki, green or beige) for the
duration of your safari. The temperature in East Africa is generally warm, however, temperatures can drop in the early morning and late evening as well as during the rains.
- Long- sleeve t- shirts T- shirts
- Shorts
- Jeans or sturdy safari trousers A jacket and sweater
- Lightweight waterproof jacket
- Swimwear for swimming at camps/ lodges Comfortable walking shoes
- Hat ( preferably a cap in neutral colours)
- Long socks ( for primate trekking, please tuck trousers in to whilst primate trekking)
- Strong waterproof walking boots ( for primate trekking- please ensure that these have been worn in prior to trekking).
- Sunblock, sunglasses, and l ip- salve
- Insect repellant ( this is generally provided at camps/ lodges) Binoculars and camera equipment
- Lightweight backpack ( for guided bush walks and primate trekking)
