Walking Safaris

Experience the sights, smells and magic of the East African wilderness by foot. A walking safari is an incredible way to explore the bush and we recommend it to everybody.

Whether you are walking through the vast gorges of Kenya or through mountain forests, a walking safari is an unforgettable experience and arguably the most authentic safari experience.

Is it safe?

Accompanied by experienced, qualified and local guides a walking safari is both a safe and exciting experience.

Are there any fitness requirements?

Each safari varies in terms of distance and terrain so it is a good idea to discuss your fitness levels with our consultant. Typically safari walks are carried out at a gentle pace.

Are there any age restrictions?

Often restrictions are in place for children under 12 for walking safaris.

What are the sleeping arrangements?

Many walking safaris involve staying at different stunning locations each night with guests walking directly to the new camp which is already set up with a waiting sundowner drink.

Other walking safaris are based from one central camp so again, it’s a good idea to talk to our consultant to determine your wishes/ requirements.
