Days 4 - 7

After an early morning breakfast, game drive and connecting flight you will be transferred to Sabyinyo Silverback Lodge - Rwanda’s first ever community-owned lodge. Conceived and created by the Governors’ Camp Collection of properties in 2008, the lodge is still managed by Governors but uniquely, ownership rests with a local community trust. The lodge is fully committed to conservation of the endangered mountain gorilla and its fragile habitat, with revenues being used to drive socio economic initiatives and improve the lives of vulnerable families living on the edge of Volcanoes National Park. From the lodge you will embark on memorable, expertly gorilla and monkey treks.

With nine stone cottages adorned with Rwandese terracotta tiles, the lodge is the quintessential sanctuary for those looking to make a positive impact on wildlife conservation. Each suite provides luxury bedding, in-room fireplaces, and spacious sitting areas for ultimate relaxation. The main lodge boasts a large living space, welcoming reception, stylish dining room, and a patio with stunning volcano views. Ideally located near the Volcanoes National Park headquarters, it's your gateway to mountain gorilla treks, golden monkey adventures, and cultural experiences like visiting Dian Fossey’s grave. Engage with our community initiatives for a genuine and enriching adventure.

On your final day you will be escorted to the airport, assisted in the airport and you will embark on your homeward flight.
